Overview
Connecting to our authentic selves and close circles
Candid Social is a platform designed to encourage meaningful, reflective social media interactions. Users share candid moments, gain insights about their emotional journey, and search for past memories in innovative ways. I joined the Candid team in May 2023 as a product design intern. With the company, I helped with designing intuitive pathways for users to document their experiences, interact with friends, and gain personal insights.
Process
Getting users to post
We began by studying user patterns on existing social media platforms and exploring reasons users hesitate to share. Insights revealed that many people feel pressured to create polished content, which limits spontaneity. To combat this, we focused on ease of sharing and emotional connection, ensuring the platform would feel approachable and rewarding
